Kevin West is the man....

He's the guy who created the look of Banana Tail. Without Kev's vision Banana Tail, Reena and Tic Tac would look completely different. Kevin is the consumate artist who has drawn comic books for years for Marvel and Image, Malibu and DC and I am proud to call him "friend".

Once Upon A Banana...

Kevin West came to me via a phone call with fellow friend and comic creator Bob Almond, when I was looking for an artist who could handle the chores of drawing "funny animal" styled characters. I had worked with Kevin on the Marvel Comics Guardians of the Galaxy Annual back in the early 90's and I believe we knew of each other, but had never spoken. I knew Kevin was a talented super hero artist, but for Banana Tail, who knew? When Kevin and I first started planning and strategizing a Banana Tail path on the phone we stumbled around a bit, trying to get a feel for each other, not sure what to expect, until the past few years where we have developed a free and easy friendship.

Kevin turned out not only to be a great super hero artist but a completely natural fit for Banana Tail! Kev is especially great at taking my loose story plots which are not broken down page by page and laying them out into a cohesive page count so I know what I need to add or detract to make a story work. His drawing of facial expressions, understanding of the characters and his clear imagination during his tenure on Banana Tail is really the heart and soul of the series.
